Andrew Grant, 5 Bellfield Park, member of 1st Inverness Rover Crew in hiking accident near Abriachan, near the Red Rock. Two of the crew made their way to the main road & stopped a car for assistance. Dr W Macdonald at Inverness Royal Infirmary procured an ambulance & went to the scene. Grant conveyed by stretcher down the hill

Scouts bonfires for King's Silver Jubilee - 40 Scouts met at Old Ruiskie Inn at weekend to ascend Mealfourvounie with materials for the beacon - mainly old tyres. They came by boat, car, motor cycle & bicycle. The lift was over 2000 feet. Ben Nevis could not be seen because of the mist but Craig Dunain was clearly visible
