    100 Years Ago - Angus Macdonald, convicted of assault in the last circuit of the Justiciary Court held in Inverness, & sentenced to be transported for 7 years, made his escape from Inverness jail on 12th by means of a rope fixed to a grating skylight in the prison. He is aged 19, 5ft 10in, dark complexion. He wore a bonnet, red & black tartan coat, black cloth waistcoat, grey worsted stockings & no neck cloth. Reward of 10 guineas for his capture
