What is RSS?

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) enables you to see when websites add new content.

You can get the latest headlines and articles, audio files, photographs or video in one place as soon as they are published.


How to Use RSS Feeds?

You need a piece of software to check RSS feeds. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser and others that are downloadable applications.


Browser-based newsreaders enables you to check your RSS feed subscriptions from any computer. Downloadable applications store your news on your computer.


When you have chosen a reader you decide what content you want to receive. You will need to find and subscribe to news feeds that you wish to receive.


Firefox, Opera and Safari automatically check for RSS feeds when you visit a website and display an icon when they find one. This makes subscribing to RSS feeds very easy and convenient.

RSS feeds are designed to be read by computers rather than people. Different news
readers work on different operating systems. You need to choose one that will work
with your computer.

Can I use these feeds on my site?


To include Am Baile RSS feeds on your website you will need to add some code to the page you would like the feed to be displayed on. If you are not a programmer a good resource fro generating the code can be found at http://itde.vccs.edu/rss2js/build.php


If you would like more controll over how and what is displayed then you will need to look at server side solutions such as JSP, ASP or PHP.
